Hello! we are Jack and Cindy Leazier,

We mourn the loss of our precious little angel Lauren to a tragic four-wheeler accident September 4, 2000.  For the first few years we were spiraling downward into a dark pit, we couldn't hold our head up, and couldn't find our way out.  Our hearts were heavy with grief.  I was in a place where anger, resentment, and pain were so much a part of me, it became my world.

God was reaching out for me, however, the devil had me so blind and isolated that I became an island to myself.  The devil knew if I had let the Lord in, he didn't stand a chance and he was right.  If you could have known me then and to see me now, you would see that the hand of God has rewritten my life's story.

We had to go through all that pain to get to the place where God could take these broken vessels and use us to His Glory.  Psalm 147:3 has truly become a powerful reality to us.  Out of the ashes was birthed "The Helping Hearts Mend Support Group".  In honor of Lauren, we want to reach out to a hurting world and offer a place where comfort and hope can be found.

Only the Master who spoke this world into existence can bring healing to a heart that is broken.

Testimony

"I lost my young son on September 30, 2006.  He was eight years old.  Someone told me about Helping Hearts Mend Support Group, and asked me if I would like to attend.  I was reluctant but I went anyway.  The fellowship I found there was very helpful in managing my grief.  Not everyone has the same circumstances, but everyone there is dealing with some sort of grief.  The people there were very understanding and made me feel very welcome.  I also liked the fact that everyone there are Christians, and with God by your side you can get through most anything.  God Bless."  Lisa Geiner
